Day 30: Our Dream House

Must have:
3+ bathrooms
4+ bedrooms
2+ car garage
A bigger kitchen than the one we have now
Central air
Decent closet space
A specified laundry room

Would love:
A large attached master bathroom with spa tub and double sink vanity
A fireplace, or two
Limited amounts of carpet flooring
A pantry
A porch/deck
An open floor plan
An area for a vegetable garden

Matt would love a "man cave/garage" like this.

We like the style in these pictures although I think I would choose different colors in some.

Love this table

Can I have, please?

Day 27: A Favorite Recipe

Matt
Baked honey mustard chicken

Also pasta salad which doesn't have an exact recipe, but I make it with these ingredients

  • Garden vegetable rotini noodles
  • Cheese Fantastico salad dressing
  • Chopped olives
  • Artichoke hearts - drained
  • Sliced salami cut into smaller squares (sometimes)
  • Refrigerate a few hours (not necessary, but it tastes better)
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before eating

Day 26: Pet Peeves

Matt
  • Licking food off fingers
  • People not using their turn signals
  • Flip flops on men
  • People who stop at the top or bottom of an escalator
  • When prices aren't listed on websites
  • People who "can't" return their cart to the cart return - Stacie also hates this
  • When the word gay is used as a synonym for lame
  • People who put their feet on the seats at movie theaters

Stacie
  • Nail biting/picking (especially in my profession)
  • Store employees asking me if I need help or what I'm looking for as soon as I walk in the door - or when they try to pick things out for me. Leave me alone. If I need help, I'll ask.
  • Hearing pet names. gag.
  • Being referred to as "hun" or "sweetie" - especially waitresses.
  • People mistaking me for a teenager. Like the girl (who I am sure was younger than me) at the dress store who asked if I was shopping for prom.
  • Having someone text me, then I respond RIGHT back with an answer or question and they don't respond for hours.
  • People talking on their cell phone in public restrooms

Day 22: A Photo of Something That Makes You Angry/Sad

Matt
Angry
People who don't park in the lines

This picture is sad

Stacie

These pictures make me angry beyond words, but they fall into the sad category for me too.

Yes, most definitely make sure you smile and pose while holding those signs.

Start 'em young.

Agree or disagree with gay marriage, no one deserves this.

Day 20: The Meaning Behind Your Blog Name

If you want the meaning behind the URL, I actually explained in my very first post.

My inspiration to name the blog "Blue Eyed Boy Met a Brown Eyed Girl" comes from the U2 song "The Sweetest Thing." I really love U2 and one day this song was stuck in my head. So when I heard the specific lines,
 Blue-eyed boy meets a brown-eyed girl
Oh oh oh, the sweetest thing

I couldn't get it out of my head. And since it was true for Matt and I, him being blue-eyed, me being brown, I thought it worked and I liked the sound of it. So I just tweaked it a bit and changed "meets" to "met" because really, when we met is where it all started.

This picture is definitely not when we first met, more like 2 1/2 years after we started dating. Old School none the less.

Day 19: A Photo You Took

These photos are from our photography classes in college. The classes worked with only black and white film. Each of these were photographed and developed in a dark room by either Matt or I.
