My sister posted this on fb and I just had to share.
I guess there are some times when flip flops just aren't as easy to slip on as you expect.

Hooray for Stanley Cup Finals!
Awesome save by Sidney Crosby, who, if you can't tell, is not the goalie - and even if you don't appreciate hockey, still a wicked save.
For those of you who don't know, Sidney Crosby is a Canadian hockey player and is the captain for the Pittsburgh Penguins(my favorite team). At 21, he was the youngest team captain to win a Stanley Cup. He also played on the Canadian Olympic team in February and scored the game winning goal against USA. He is pretty much amazing.

Friday = Date Night
Yesterday we enjoyed a fun date night - and all free! We had a gift card to The Cheesecake Factory (one of my favorite places) so we went for dinner. Because it was a Friday night and we picked The Cheesecake Factory, the hostess informed us that the wait for two was approx 50 minutes. Holy cow! Good thing that restaurant is located right by Fashion Place mall. To use up some time, we went to a few stores in the mall where I got a new shirt from Zumiez (also free, courtesy of another gift card). After a couple more glances through stores, we made our way back to the restaurant.
Just as we exited the mall doors, the restaurant beeper went off. That was lucky, since it had only been about 40 minutes and there isn't reception for that thing inside the mall. We sat down for our tasty dinners, Chicken Bellagio (me), and Carbonara (matt). I seriously love that restaurant! I could eat everything there.
After dinner we headed to Dollar Tree for some goodies for the movie we were going to. No gift card here, so I guess our date last night really was about $2 instead of free. With 2 boxes of Sour Patch Kids hidden in my purse, we bought our tickets (with another gift card) for Date Night, and waited in line to get in the theater; haven't done that in a while. Those Megaplex theaters sure knew what they were doing when they decided to do reserved seating. I like that better.
Anywho, we really liked the movie. I thought it was going to be funny, but I didn't expect it to make me laugh as much as it did. At one point I got worried I was laughing to much or too loud, but then I realized pretty much the whole theater was doing the same. I definitely recommend this movie, especially if you're a Steve Carell fan. And honestly, who doesn't like Mark Wahlberg with his shirt off?

Because I like taking pictures of my food
So today Matt and I went out to eat with my parents and the monkeys. I was attracted to a cute little cookie that made me think of this.
So I took a picture...
Too bad it was filled with some strange jelly substance. Not so tasty, but super cute!
Oh, and because I took another picture of my food a while back...is anyone familiar with Iceberg shakes? A couple months ago we happened to be craving a shake after a wal-mart run. I'd never been to Iceberg but it was close so I figured, why not? I ordered a "mini" cheesecake shake. Upon getting my treat, I noticed the name is a bit of an understatement.
Yes, that was about 3 times bigger than I was expecting and I could not even come close to finishing it.
Yes, it was the smallest size available.
Yes, I did see a girl walk to a table with one in each hand.
Yes, they were both for her.
I could go without
New mothers talking about their milk coming in and what bras are particularly good for that sort of thing.
I do realize that you are in a group, not necessarily talking to me, and that I probably shouldn't be eavesdropping. But you all should notice that you're sitting quite close to me, talking pretty loud, while I'm trying to watch my husband's hockey game. This is no place for such conversation.
