After dinner we headed to Shopko to get a few things for his stay. Lately Milo has been into doing puzzles, so we hit up the toy aisle and found him a Spiderman and Transformers puzzle. Next we walked around until we found the aisle with pull-ups to get his "night-time undies." Last, we headed to the candy section for Milo to pick out a treat. His response upon getting to the candy - "Now lets see what we have here." Once he picked out a bag of swedish fish, we went to the line to checkout. All the while walking very slow because Milo had insisted on holding his own bag of pull-ups. We got to the check out counter and told Milo to put the pull-ups on the counter so that that checker could scan it. Next thing I know, he is swinging the pull-ups onto the counter and with a big grin he exclaims "Here's my night-time undies!" Both Matt and I laughed and the teenage guy checking us out responded by laughing and saying, "cool." Milo even showed the checker where the price scan was.
We left Shopko and continued our drive home - which was loaded with questions, one of them being "Why is your apartment so small?" We got home, had Milo take a shower and get into pajamas and then let him watch a movie while also working on the Transformers puzzle and eating some swedish fish. After the movie was over we set up the couch for him to sleep on. A little after putting him to bed, Matt peeked out our bedroom to see if he was sleeping yet. Matt started laughing and motioned for me to come over. There we were, standing in the doorway listening to Milo sing to himself and peeking at him while he played the air drums. He's one pretty cool kid.
