A Birthday Post, As Promised

I'll try to keep it short with some pictures. Because my birthday is two days after Christmas, it makes for an interesting day to try and celebrate...not to mention I'm not super creative in things to do. One of the best things you can do for me on my birthday is to let me sleep in! haha. I am NOT a morning person. I wasn't even one of those kids who woke up early on Christmas morning. So I started my bday with getting to sleep in and then get ready at my leisure. Once I was ready, I opened my present from Matthew. I was a bit surprised to see that he had bought be another purse, since he got me one for Christmas, but there was something inside the stuffing...

That's right, Linkin Park tickets!!! I had been wanting to go to this concert basically since I left their last concert I attended. When the tickets went on sale in November, I was disappointed to see that they were almost $15 more per ticket than last time. When I told Matt about them, he said that it was sort of a lot of money to be spending on one night and that we could probably deal with not going. I was bummed to say the least. So finding them as my birthday surprise was exciting!

I decided to go out to lunch and try a newer Japanese steakhouse place in Sandy called Fuji Steakhouse. It was pretty tasty, and a pretty good deal if you like Japanese Hibachi style meals.

Gotta love the onion volcano!

After lunch, we thought it might be a good use of time to check out the mall and take a few Christmas items back. Boy, was that a bad idea! The mall was super packed of what seemed to be really obnoxious pre-teeners, (plus many other people of course). Once done with that hassle, we went to Matt's parents' house to visit and I received my gift from them. Then it was off to meet my fam at Johnny Carino's.

Free cake and ice cream! It was pretty good  considering it was chocolate.
Yay! MAC lipgloss
